Lossong is the Sikkimese New Year and is celebrated from the 25th to 29th day of the eleventh month of the Lunar Calendar annually which falls during the month of December. Losoong is also celebrated as the Festivel of Harvest.

Losoong Celebrations was organised solely by the Bhutia Youth of Bhutia Development Board Kalimpong Sub Division under the stewardship of Sri Norbu D Bhutia, Member I/c Youth & Sports and Sri Lendup P Bhutia, Member I/C Culture & Infrastructure, at Pedong on 05 December 2015 from 10am onwards.The Clebration was organised with the forethought of inculcating the spirit of ONENESS amongst the diverse Bhutia sub groups.
